This just in: North Carolina is incredible.
We’re in Timber Ridge, VA at the moment. Mom’s driving us home, doing her best to dodge traffic and hillbillies. We’ll be out of the car in a few short hours.

We are in Damascus, VA.
Biblical parallels aside, it is quaint and eclectic. The shops are mural-painted and the houses have permanent garage sales taking place in their front yards.
We stopped here to get coffee on our way to North Carolina. Lo and behold, free wi-fi!
