In Which We Cut Down A Tree

Last night I slept in a real bed for the first time in over three months. I’ve been conking out on an air mattress since moving to New York City, so I’ve gotten pretty accustomed to sleeping in hazardous conditions. I could probably sleep standing up inside a barrel. Needless to say, an actual mattress and bed frame was a welcome change.

Nothing seems to say “Welcome back to Virginia” quite like a little bit of yardwork:

In my defense I will say: the danged tree had it coming!

Tom wielded a dangerous tool and still has all his appendages? Not bad for a guy who’s broken his nose 1) washing his motorcycle and 2) driving in the rain. Maybe it was waiting until afterwards to fill up on the beer.
