Almost five years ago I started at WXJM with my first radio show. Tonight, five years and many laughs later, was my final show.
The radio station was the first extracurricular activity I got involved in at JMU. “You mean there’s a place with a microphone that anyone can talk into? And other people listen?” I’ll always remember those disastrous first shows from freshman year, and even the disastrous ones from just a few weeks ago.
At any given time, the radio station has been a place for friends, stress, laughter, and hard work. But always friends.
