The Dylan Love
STARTING WITH NOTHING, AND HANGING ON TO MOST OF IT.
Falafel As Adventure

Still jobless, still slogging right along.

A dude in my situation has a surfeit of spare time and will stop at no end to find ways to use it. I’ve developed a new habit of trekking out to Brooklyn, just for lunch. I eat, drink, and return home.

It’s a three-dollar falafel place right off of the Bedford L stop. I will go there until I find something cheaper, but this will likely never happen for two reasons:

  1. Three bucks is pretty cheap already. Who can beat that?
  2. I’m not looking.

All things equal, the falafel journey is a psychological help. It’s not just getting lunch, it’s Going Somewhere, Doing Something. And with the weather being as gray and cold as it is, who isn’t up for an adventure?

    Dylan,

I heard today that nbc will spend 300 million to create another funny shtick when Conan leaves. You meet anybody on Leno’s staff?

Whenever Matt and I make our way up to your way, you HAVE TO take us to this Falafel place.

    I love falafel!

Your adventures in the magical land of Unemployment sound way more fun than mine.
